Individual lessons to help you develop greater efficiency, coordination and awareness in everyday life.
I am a qualified Alexander Technique teacher based in Seaford.
Alongside my teaching practice, I am the Wellbeing Lead and Alexander Technique Adviser for SEDSConnective (hypermobility and neurodivergence chairty).
I have a background teaching on the former Brighton Alexander Technique Teacher Training College and working in NHS psychological therapies. This continues to inform my interest in habit, attention and change.
Some people are interested in the Alexander Technique generally, while others come with particular movement experiences or areas of interest, including hypermobility, tension and stiffness, persistent neck or back pain, Parkinson's, or stress-related tension.
Lessons are practical, individual and hands on.
Together we may work with simple activities such as: sitting, standing or walking.
You remain fully clothed and no special equipment is needed.
Many people find it helpful simply to begin with a first lesson and discover whether the approach feels relevant to them.
Alexander Technique is a practical way of understanding how you move in everyday life.
In lessons, we look at simple activities and explore how habitual patterns of tension and effort can affect coordination and efficiency.
You are guided step by step through the fundamental principles of the approach in a hands-on way.
If you would like to explore Alexander Technique for yourself, you're welcome to book an initial lesson or get in touch with any questions.
